It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our esteemed colleague Mr. Branislav Hatala on 5th February 2024.
The GIF Chair, GIF Policy and Technical Directors and the GIF Technical Secretariat extend our heartfelt sympathies to Mr. Hatala’s colleagues.
Director of the Nuclear Safety, Research and Development Division at VUJE, Mr. Hatala was also a long-lasting GIF member, chair of the Gas-cooled Fast Reactor (GFR) System Steering Committee (SSC).
He had a remarkable career in the nuclear sector and was well-known for his valuable contributions to GIF.
Appreciated by all, Mr. Hatala will be deeply missed but always remembered by the GIF community.
