Message on behalf of the GIF Chair, Policy Director, Technical Director and GIF TS
Dear GIF Colleagues,
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our esteemed colleague Mr. Alexander N. Chebeskov.
The GIF Chair, GIF Policy and Technical Directors and the GIF Technical Secretariat extend our heartfelt sympathies to Mr. Chebeskov’s colleagues.
A nuclear engineer and department Head at the Institute for Physics and Power Engineering (IPPE) of the State Scientific Centre of the Russian Federation, Mr. Alexander Chebeskov was a long-lasting and active member of the GIF Proliferation Resistance and Physical Protection Working Group (PRPPWG).
He had a remarkable career in the nuclear sector and was well-known for his pertinent and extensive contributions to the GIF PRPPWG. He was also particularly fond of literature and poetry.
Appreciated by all, Mr. Chebeskov will be deeply missed but always remembered through the below verses from one of his favorite poems.
